PVA is proud to announce two recent promotions; Jesse Merdak will serve as our Deputy Chief of Operations, and Neil Mathews will serve as Deputy Chief of Administration.
Both Jesse and Neil are experienced Paramedic practitioners with significant leadership experience at PVA and area EMS services.
In their roles, Jesse and Neil will take on additional responsibilities:
Jesse Merdak, Deputy Chief of Operations
As Deputy Chief of Operations, Jesse maintains active Paramedic practitioner status, serving regularly on-ambulance, oversees Shift Supervisors, EMTs and Paramedics, provides feedback and supports / assists in professional development, and develops, implements, and continuously evaluates operational manuals, procedures, initiatives, and all associated tracking and documentation methods.
Neil Mathews, Deputy Chief of Administration
As Deputy Chief of Administration, Neil maintains active Paramedic practitioner status, serving regularly on-ambulance, handles HR, Billing, IT/IS, administrative assignments, supports finance / Treasurer, Operations teams, provides feedback and supports / assists in professional development, and develops, implements, and continuously evaluates administrative manuals, procedures, initiatives, and all associated tracking and documentation methods.
Expanding Jesse and Neil's roles at PVA helps us to diversify our leadership team and create added capacity essential to our ability to expand the high-quality services we offer our local community.
