Pittsford Volunteer Ambulance Assists In Local Training

Pittsford Volunteer Ambulance was invaluable to the success of an Advanced Patroller School held at Hunt Hollow Ski Club this past weekend. Together, with Senior Trainers from the National Ski Patrol, they trained both experienced ski patrollers and new candidates in First Aid/Outdoor Emergency Care, Rope Rescue and Lift Evacuation.

There were 35 candidates from across the Northeast, all working to sharpen their patrol skills in preparation for this coming Winter season.

Thank you to PVA members; Chief Jonathan Smith, Dan O'Connell, EMT, Steve Page, Paramedic and Rebecca Searchfield, Paramedic.

Also a big thank you to Livonia EMS, Ontario County High Angle Rope Team, and Sergeant Greg Beaver from the NY State Police for their time and energy.
